Daewon C. I. Inc. is founded in 1991 in Seoul, Korea. We started as a comic book division of its parent company, Daewon Media, and has grown up to a multimedia publisher now in the result of the continuous success and expansion, with All Daewon's business has been grown to cover from character licensing to TV broadcast. We are publishing two comic magazines, one on-line magazine, and Newtype Korea (animation magazine), as well as around 80 licensed and original comic books. No doubt, we are one of the biggest comic publishers in Korea.
Daewon C. I. also has been publishing various children’s books (picture book, playbook and education comic) with the brand Daewon Kids, light novels (new genre of novels targeting 10s~20s) with the brand NT Novel, and novels with the brand Iliad for several years.
Daewon’s International licensing business, as a leading company exporting Korean comics, is performing well in the areas of Europe and South and North America, as well as Asia beginning with Taiwan, and including Thailand, China and Japan. Local versions of Daewon’s comic magazines, or magazines with major contents directly created by Daewon C. I. have been published in France, China, Taiwan, Thailand and Indonesia. These include <Priest> and <Model> which has gotten great responses.
