Since its first publication in April 1970, Samtoh has been specializing in magazines and mini series issues on a great variety of subjects. Reaching out to young generations through its businesses, Samtoh continues to help them develop a sense of responsibility and an altruistic way of thinking. The core of its philosophy has been encouraging the young to meet challenges of the ever evolving culture and understand values stemming from undertaking lives in togetherness with others, thereby enabling themselves to sympathize with the events and emotions arising from within the peripheries of their livelihood and assist their neighbors in times of difficulty. Samtoh's intention is to contribute to laying a solid basis in the linguistic culture, whereby the Korean language is used in a most precise and artistic fashion in its publications, against varying elements within society that are to the detriment of the beauty and integrity of the language.

Samtoh has published a series of <Cartoon World> with passion in the cartoon business to promote cartoon market. Of other cartoons the Cartoon World published, [Haru's diary], exported to Taiwan and China, has gathered big popularity along with other various and high qualified following works: a Zen story [What is it for that bargained life?], a prize-winning entry in the department of novels of a spring literary contest [A weary afternoon], a character fancied cartoon [Cuni-Cuni], and a description of a girl?s daily life [All through the afternoon]. In addition with them, a famous Japanese cartoon [fourteen years old], works of Jimmy, Taiwan origin cartoonist, [A garden in my mind], [Subway] and[Why?] were brought out by us as well.

With all of these works, we are leading the cartoon publication field now.Besides, the big hit animation broadcasted in TV [TV Fairy Tale: The Happy World], and grand prix awarded work from Annecy Festival International du film d?animation as a theatre animation [Oseam]were published by us in independent volumes. [TV Fairy Tale: The Happy World] was exported to China, Taiwan and Japan while [Oseam] was to INK Ltd. of Taiwan. Samtoh is preparing cartoons from established writers with new view points and at the same time trying to find new talented faces to release sensuous and excellent cartoons.
 
[Haru's diary] - The first work of the Cartoon World of Samtoh. Popular for its fine description for delicate feeling of women readers. A story of Haru, a 20-something girl. She looks like us in some sense.

  [What is it for that bargained life?] - A simple and clear-cut cartoon with a Zen story. Based on enlightenment from everyday life with short stories for each drawing to send wise messages to readers.

  [A weary afternoon] - A short story cartoon book of the first awarded writer on literary contest in cartoon section of Kyoung-hyang daily newspaper. The writer's potential is shown vividly through the intense vision toward the world and the life. Grotesque-realism in society is shown in this work.

  [Ohu-naenae (All through the afternoon)] - With Ohu (afternoon), a cloud hairstyle girl, and Nene (all through), a dreaming cat, this book is about their happy communication. This book is made up of stories like sweet and weary afternoon nap and girl's sensitivity. A book for those who dream for 20% happier lives.

  [Cuni-Cuni] - A comic fantasy book with Cuni-Cuni, a cute penguin, and his mischievous friends. Unexpected reverses will make you laugh out loud.

  [Haru's diary- the second story] - The second story of [Haru's diary] has a more sensuous description of a girl's mind. The usual life stories are narrated like chatting with each other while criticizing social bias and male-oriented society.
